The Dahua Technology VTM27R3 Metal Black 141mm Width is a compact metal rain cover engineered to protect outdoor devices from rain, moisture and direct sunlight. With a slim profile and durable metal construction, this cover is designed for installations where a small, robust protective hood is required. Its dimensions — 141mm width, 72.5mm depth and 341.4mm height — allow mounting in confined spaces while providing effective shielding for cameras and other outdoor equipment.

Advantages

The metal construction offers long-term durability and resistance to weathering, while the black finish provides a neutral appearance that integrates with most outdoor installations. The compact size reduces visual impact and minimizes additional load on mounting points. Designed specifically to reduce exposure to rain and sunlight, the cover helps extend the service life of devices by limiting direct environmental stress.

How to use

Mount the Dahua VTM27R3 to a suitable bracket or flat surface above the device to be protected, ensuring the cover overhangs the equipment to shield it from precipitation and direct sun. Secure with appropriate fasteners for the installation surface and check that the cover does not obstruct device sensors or lenses. Periodically inspect the cover for debris buildup or corrosion and clear any obstructions to maintain effective protection.

Recommendations

For optimal protection, install the cover with a slight forward tilt to encourage water runoff and avoid trapping moisture. Use corrosion-resistant fasteners when installing in coastal or highly humid environments and perform routine checks to ensure continued shielding performance.
