Antennemodule Lenovo FRU 7.4L Wi‑Fi 6E 720/140 voor draadloze connectiviteit

The Antenna module Lenovo FRU 7.4L Wi‑Fi 6E 720/140 for wireless connectivity is a replacement radio-frequency component intended for Lenovo systems that support Wi‑Fi 6E. It provides the antenna elements and required interconnects for the device’s wireless adapter to transmit and receive signals within the defined 720/140 antenna configuration. The module is supplied as an OEM-style hardware part for repairs, upgrades, or factory-equivalent replacement to restore or enable wireless network access.

Advantages

This antenna module is designed to match form and signal characteristics expected by compatible Lenovo systems, reducing integration work during repair or replacement. Its Wi‑Fi 6E compatibility enables access to extended 6 GHz spectrum where supported by the host system and network, which can improve throughput and reduce congestion compared with earlier bands. The 720/140 configuration describes the module’s antenna arrangement and intended coverage, helping ensure predictable wireless performance when installed in systems engineered for that layout.

Suitable for

• Repairing Lenovo laptops or workstations that previously used a 7.4L antenna module with Wi‑Fi 6E support
• Upgrading a compatible device to restore or enable Wi‑Fi 6E functionality
• OEM replacement during service and refurbishment of compatible Lenovo systems

Key specifications

• Function: internal antenna module for wireless connectivity
• Wireless standard compatibility: Wi‑Fi 6E (includes 6 GHz band where supported)
• Antenna configuration: 720/140 layout
• Intended installation: internal, compatible Lenovo system bays/connectors
• Use cases: repair, upgrade, OEM replacement

How to use

Installation should be performed with the device powered off and the battery removed or disconnected where applicable. Access the internal antenna bay according to the manufacturer’s service manual, disconnect any existing antenna module, and attach the replacement ensuring connector orientation and cable routing match the original layout. Reassemble the device and power it on, then verify wireless functionality in the operating system and update wireless driver or firmware if required for Wi‑Fi 6E support.

Recommendations

Use this module only in devices specified by the system manufacturer to accept the 7.4L antenna layout. Confirm BIOS, wireless adapter, and operating system support for Wi‑Fi 6E and 6 GHz operation before assuming full functionality. If unsure about compatibility or installation, consult Lenovo service documentation or an authorized technician.
