Slang Triton 16/10 mm EPDM — zwart, per meter

Triton EPDM hose with 16/10 mm dimensions, supplied by the meter in black, is a flexible tubing solution designed for general fluid transfer. Constructed from EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer), this hose offers elasticity, resistance to weathering and many common liquids, and retains flexibility across a wide temperature range. The 16 mm outer diameter and 10 mm inner diameter make it suitable for compact installations where a reliable, soft-wall hose is required.

Advantages

The EPDM compound provides good resistance to ozone, UV exposure and aging, while maintaining pliability for easy routing and connection. Its smooth inner surface supports consistent flow and reduces the risk of deposits. Supplied per meter, the hose allows precise length selection for custom installations and minimises waste. The black colour masks dirt and is suitable for visible and concealed installations alike.

Suitable for

• Plumbing lines for non-potable water and systems where EPDM compatibility is required
• Aquarium and terrarium setups for low-pressure circulation and drainage
• Cooling loops in DIY electronics and PC water-cooling systems
• General workshop and industrial low-pressure fluid transfer

Key specifications

• Material: EPDM (ethylene propylene diene monomer)
• Outer diameter: 16 mm
• Inner diameter: 10 mm
• Colour: Black
• Supply unit: Sold per metre for custom length
• Construction: Flexible, soft-wall tubing

How to use

Cut the hose to the required length using a sharp hose cutter to ensure a clean, square end. Fit with appropriate barbed or compression fittings sized for a 10 mm inner diameter; where required, use hose clamps to secure connections for low- to medium-pressure applications. Avoid sharp bending below the hose's minimum bend radius to prevent kinking. For permanent or pressurised installations, verify compatibility of the EPDM material with the fluid and operating temperature before prolonged use.

Recommendations

For longer service life, avoid continuous exposure to aggressive solvents, oils incompatible with EPDM, or temperatures beyond the material's rated range. Regularly inspect connections and replace sections that show signs of cracking, hardening or excessive softening. When used in aquarium or food-related applications, rinse thoroughly and verify suitability for the specific biological or chemical conditions.
