AWTOOLS AW47307 7-delige HSS-spiraalboor set DIN 338 – 2-10 mm voor metaal, hout en kunststof

For the technician who keeps a drill close at hand in the workshop or on site, this AWTOOLS AW47307 set puts seven of the most commonly requested twist drill diameters in one compact cassette. The set covers 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 mm, so most pilot holes, clearance holes and general-purpose drilling tasks are covered without switching between multiple cases. Each bit is made from high-speed steel and ground to a 118° point angle, the standard geometry for clean entry and predictable chip removal in metal, wood and plastic.

Key specifications

• 7-piece twist drill bit set, DIN 338 standard
• High-speed steel (HSS), bright finish
• Diameters: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10 mm
• 118° point angle, cylindrical shank
• For rotary drills, cordless drills and drill presses
• Supplied in a reusable plastic cassette

Why choose it

The set is built around the sizes that appear again and again in assembly, maintenance and repair work. Because all bits share the same DIN 338 geometry, you get consistent centring and hole quality across the range. The HSS material withstands the heat generated at moderate speeds, while the bright finish helps chips slide away from the cutting edges. The cassette keeps the bits organised and protected, and its slim profile fits easily in a tool bag or drawer.

Ideal use cases

• Drilling pilot holes for wood screws and self-tappers
• Creating clearance holes in sheet metal and aluminium profiles
• General maintenance and repair in workshops, garages and on site
• DIY projects involving wood, plastic laminates or thin metal
• Replacing worn individual bits in an existing index

Good to know

The set is intended for use with standard three-jaw chucks from 1.5 mm to 13 mm capacity. For best results in steel, use a cutting fluid and moderate speed; in wood, withdraw the bit periodically to clear chips. The cassette has marked positions for each diameter, so returning the right bit to the right slot becomes second nature.
