Beveiligingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2063G2-LI2U 2,8 mm 6MP IR

The Hikvision DS-2CD2063G2-LI2U 2.8mm 6MP IR is a network surveillance camera designed to capture high-resolution images for security monitoring. With a 6MP sensor and a fixed 2.8mm wide-angle lens, the camera delivers detailed video suitable for perimeter, indoor and outdoor observation. Integrated infrared LEDs provide night vision capability so the camera can record scenes in low-light or no-light conditions. The camera supports common network video formats and is intended for continuous monitoring in residential, commercial and light industrial environments.

Advantages

The camera produces 6MP resolution video for clearer identification of faces and objects compared with lower-resolution models. The 2.8mm lens offers a wide field of view, reducing the number of cameras required to cover open areas. Built-in infrared illumination enables reliable night-time recording. Network connectivity simplifies integration with video management systems and NVRs, and the compact housing supports flexible mounting positions.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and entrance monitoring for homes and small businesses
• Interior surveillance of offices, retail areas and public spaces
• Parking lots and outdoor common areas requiring wide-angle coverage

Key specifications

• Image sensor: 6 megapixels
• Lens: fixed 2.8 mm for wide-angle view
• Night vision: integrated infrared illumination for low-light recording
• Video output: network (IP) streaming compatible with standard VMS and NVRs
• Operating environment: suitable for typical indoor and sheltered outdoor installations

How to use

Mount the camera on a stable surface using appropriate hardware and orient the 2.8mm lens toward the area to be monitored. Connect the camera to a power source and an IP network switch or PoE port according to your installation method. Use the camera’s web interface or a compatible video management system to configure resolution, frame rate, motion detection and recording schedules. Verify night vision operation by checking IR illumination and adjusting exposure or placement if necessary.

Recommendations

For reliable image quality, position the camera to avoid direct bright lights in the frame and ensure the lens is kept clean. When installing outdoors, mount under a suitable overhang or use weatherproof housings if exposure to severe weather is expected. Integrate the camera with an NVR or VMS that supports 6MP streams and configure retention policies to balance storage and footage retention needs.
