Boorhamer Black & Decker BCD900B-XJ

The Black & Decker BCD900B-XJ is a pistol-grip rotary hammer designed for portable drilling and light chiselling tasks. Driven by an 18V battery and equipped with an SDS Plus chuck, this tool delivers up to 1880 RPM no-load speed and is intended for straightforward drilling in wood and metal as well as light masonry work. The compact design and two-colour housing (black and orange) make it suitable for trade professionals and DIY users who need a cordless solution for medium-duty jobs.

Advantages

The SDS Plus chuck enables quick, tool-free bit changes and secure retention during impact drilling. Battery power removes the need for a mains connection, improving mobility on site and in areas without immediate power access. With a maximum idle speed of 1880 RPM, the drill provides reliable rotational performance for a range of drilling tasks, while the pistol grip form factor offers comfortable control and straightforward handling.

Suitable for

• Drilling holes in wood up to 25 mm diameter
• Drilling holes in steel up to 13 mm diameter
• Light masonry drilling and anchor installation
• General DIY and maintenance tasks requiring a cordless rotary hammer

Recommendations

Use the BCD900B-XJ with the correct SDS Plus bits for masonry and dedicated wood or metal bits for the corresponding materials. For prolonged drilling sessions, use a fully charged battery and allow the tool to cool periodically to maintain performance. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment and keep the ventilation slots clear of debris.
