Boor SDS max Bosch 2608900231 — 20 mm diameter, 800 mm lengte

Bosch SDS max drill bit 20 mm diameter, 800 mm length is a long-reach percussion drill bit designed for use with SDS max rotary hammers. It is intended for drilling deep holes in concrete, masonry and other mineral materials where extended reach and stable drilling are required. The bit features the SDS max shank interface for reliable engagement with compatible rotary hammers and is suitable for professional construction and renovation tasks.

Advantages

The 20 mm diameter and 800 mm overall length provide extended reach for deep anchoring, through-holes and installations without the need for extension rods. SDS max connection ensures secure seating and efficient impact energy transfer for faster drilling progress in dense materials. The bit's construction balances rigidity and toughness to resist bending during deep drilling and to maintain a consistent drilling trajectory.

Suitable for

• Drilling deep anchor and fixing holes in concrete and reinforced concrete
• Making through-holes for conduits, pipes and wiring in masonry
• Professional renovation and structural installation work requiring long-reach drilling
• Use with SDS max rotary hammers on construction sites

Key specifications

• Tip diameter: 20 mm
• Overall length: 800 mm
• Shank type: SDS max compatible
• Material compatibility: concrete, masonry, natural stone
• Intended use: rotary hammer drilling with percussion

How to use

Fit the SDS max shank into the rotary hammer chuck until it locks; ensure the tool is switched off before insertion. Select an appropriate drilling speed and hammer mode on the rotary hammer according to the material. Position the bit perpendicular to the surface and start drilling with steady pressure, allowing the tool's percussion action to do the work. For deep holes, periodically retract the bit to clear dust and debris and to cool the bit, improving drilling efficiency and prolonging tool life.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment, including eye and ear protection and a dust mask. For reinforced concrete, check for rebar and use a rebar-capable bit if necessary. Maintain consistent pressure without forcing the bit; excessive side loads can cause premature wear or breakage. For best results, pair the drill bit with SDS max rotary hammers that provide sufficient impact energy for 20 mm drilling in dense materials.
