Bypass-tuinschaar Bahco PXR-M2 zwart rood roestvrij staal

The Bypass Pruning Shears Bahco PXR-M2 Black Red Stainless Steel are designed for precise, clean cuts on live plants. These pruning shears use a bypass cutting mechanism that slides the blade past a counter blade to produce a smooth cut, reducing plant tissue damage and promoting faster healing. The shears combine stainless steel blades with ergonomically shaped handles finished in black and red, offering a balance of durability and user control. With a weight of approximately 394 g, they are light enough for extended use while remaining robust for regular gardening tasks.

Advantages

The bypass cutting system provides clean, accurate cuts on green wood and live stems, minimizing crushing and bruising. Stainless steel blades resist corrosion and maintain a sharp edge, extending service life with routine maintenance. Ergonomic handles improve grip and control, reducing hand fatigue during repetitive pruning. The compact, balanced design supports both precision trimming and general pruning tasks in home gardens and landscaping work.

Suitable for

• Pruning live branches, shoots and stems
• Shaping shrubs and ornamental plants
• Routine garden maintenance and tidying
• Harvesting soft-stemmed fruits and herbs

Key specifications

• Cutting type: bypass mechanism for clean, shearing cuts
• Blade material: stainless steel for corrosion resistance
• Handle design: ergonomic shape in black and red for comfort and control
• Weight: approximately 394 g for reduced user fatigue

How to use

Hold the shears with a firm but relaxed grip, positioning the branch between the cutting blade and the counter blade near the blade tip for the cleanest cut. Make a single smooth cutting motion without twisting to avoid crushing the stem. For thicker stems close to the tool’s capacity, cut at a slight angle to promote water runoff and healing. After use, wipe the blades clean, dry them and apply light oil to prevent corrosion and maintain smooth action.

Recommendations

Use these pruning shears primarily on live, green wood and stems up to the thickness recommended by the manufacturer. Regularly sharpen and clean the stainless steel blades to ensure consistent performance. Store in a dry place and avoid cutting hard materials such as wire or frozen branches to prevent blade damage.
