Converter SpeaKa Professional 989271 SCART naar HDMI digitale video-adapter

SpeaKa Professional 989271 SCART to HDMI digital video adapter converts analog SCART signals into HDMI output, enabling connection of older video sources to modern HDMI-only displays. The adapter accepts standard composite RGB/AV signals via a SCART connector and provides an HDMI output suitable for TVs, monitors and projectors. It supports straightforward signal conversion to preserve playback from legacy players, game consoles and set-top boxes without requiring a separate capture device.

Advantages

The adapter offers plug-and-play operation with automatic signal detection and conversion, eliminating the need for complex setup. It provides stable video output with upscaling to common HDMI resolutions and passes audio along with the video signal, keeping both picture and sound intact. Its compact housing and single-cable HDMI output simplify installation and reduce cable clutter when integrating older devices into modern AV environments.

Suitable for

• Connecting VHS players, DVD players and older camcorders to HDMI TVs
• Using vintage game consoles with modern monitors or televisions
• Displaying content from set-top boxes and legacy media players on projectors

Key specifications

• Input: SCART analog video/audio (composite/RGB depending on source)
• Output: HDMI digital video and audio
• Signal conversion: analog-to-digital upscaling to HDMI-compatible resolutions
• Audio: stereo audio pass-through converted to HDMI audio
• Power: external USB power supply required (USB 5V typical)
• Housing: compact, lightweight enclosure for desktop or AV-rack placement

How to use

Connect the SCART-equipped source to the adapter’s SCART input, then connect an HDMI cable from the adapter’s HDMI output to the display. Attach the required USB power cable to a suitable 5V power source and power the adapter. Turn on the source device and the display; the adapter will detect the incoming analog signal and convert it to an HDMI output. Select the correct HDMI input on the display to view video and hear audio from the connected legacy device.

Recommendations

For best results, use high-quality SCART and HDMI cables and a stable 5V power supply. If images appear stretched or black bars are present, adjust the display’s aspect ratio or check the source device’s output mode. When connecting game consoles or devices with region-specific signals, ensure the source outputs a compatible analog format (RGB or composite) supported by the adapter.
