Deuropener Yale FF deuropener Fafix 17E 6–12V AC/DC mechanische ontgrendeling

Yale FF Door Opener Fafix 17E is a low-voltage door opener designed for controlled electronic actuation with a mechanical release. Intended for use on residential and light commercial doors, the device operates from 6–12V AC/DC and provides a reliable way to unlock doors remotely while allowing manual override when needed. The mechanism combines an electronic solenoid action with a mechanical release to ensure access control during power variations or maintenance.

Advantages

The unit supports both AC and DC low-voltage supply, reducing installation complexity in existing low-voltage systems. Its mechanical release function enables manual unlocking without electrical power, providing fail-safe access. Compact design and straightforward mounting make it compatible with common door frames and strike plates. The device offers consistent actuation force and precise positioning for smooth operation and reduced wear on door hardware.

Suitable for

• Residential entry doors requiring low-voltage electric unlocking
• Light commercial or office doors with basic access control needs
• Installations where mechanical override is required for emergency or maintenance
• Systems that use 6–12V AC or DC power supplies

Key specifications

• Operating voltage: 6–12 V AC/DC
• Type: door opener with mechanical release
• Actuation: electronic actuation combined with mechanical override
• Installation: surface or frame-mounted fitting for standard door strikes
• Operation mode: designed for fail-safe manual release when required

How to use

Mount the Yale FF Door Opener Fafix 17E in the prepared strike recess or on the frame according to the door hardware layout. Connect the unit to a compatible 6–12V AC or DC power source, observing polarity for DC installation. Verify alignment with the latch and adjust the strike position if necessary to ensure smooth electronic actuation and reliable mechanical release. Test the electrical unlocking function and the mechanical override to confirm correct installation before regular use.

Recommendations

Use in combination with a dedicated low-voltage power supply and appropriate access control components. Regularly check mechanical alignment and electrical connections; clean and lubricate strike contact surfaces as part of periodic maintenance to ensure consistent operation.
