Takelwagen Dickie Toys 203745016

The Dickie Toys 203745016 tow truck is a multicolour recovery vehicle designed for children aged 3 years and older. This playset combines a modelled heavy-duty truck shape with functional play features: a crane arm, fold-out support columns, a movable loading platform and a fold-out ramp. The toy includes light and sound effects and is powered by 2 AAA batteries (not included). Its design encourages role-play scenarios such as roadside recovery and vehicle transport while supporting fine motor skill development.

Advantages

The tow truck offers several integrated play functions — a crane arm that reaches and secures small toy cars, a movable platform for loading and transport, and fold-out stabilisers for realistic operation. Built-in light and sound effects add auditory and visual cues that enhance imaginative play. The friction drive allows the vehicle to be pushed and to coast several metres, extending play without constant battery use. The multicolour, vehicle-like styling makes the toy immediately recognisable and engaging for young children.

Suitable for

• Role-play and rescue scenarios for children aged 3 and up
• Developing fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
• Complementing other vehicle toys and playsets
• Indoor play on flat surfaces such as floors and tabletops

Key specifications

• Recommended age: 3+ years
• Power source for lights and sounds: 2 × AAA batteries (not included)
• Features: crane arm, fold-out stabilisers, movable loading platform, fold-out ramp
• Effects: built-in sound effects and an orange warning light
• Drive: friction motor for push propulsion
• Design: multicolour, modelled on a heavy recovery truck

How to use

Place two AAA batteries into the battery compartment following the polarity markings, if you wish to use the light and sound functions; batteries are not included. Position the recovery truck near the toy vehicle to be recovered, extend the fold-out stabilisers for stability, and deploy the crane arm or ramp to secure the load. Use the movable platform to load and transport the small toy car. The friction motor allows you to push the truck forward and let it coast; for repeated sound and light activation, operate the appropriate switch or button according to the toy's controls.

Recommendations

Use on flat, stable indoor surfaces to ensure smooth operation of the platform and friction drive. Supervise children under 3 years and periodically check batteries and moving parts for wear or loose components. Remove exhausted batteries promptly and replace with the recommended type to maintain consistent sound and light performance.
