Dynafit Traverse Hybrid Shorts Dames Cabana Maat S

Most hiking shorts force a choice: weather protection or breathability. The Traverse Hybrid Shorts refuse that trade-off. A PFC-free DWR woven front sheds wind and light moisture, while the back and sides use a highly breathable 4-way stretch knit that moves with you on steep climbs, scrambles, and fast descents. The result is a short that feels as agile as a running tight but protects like a softshell.

Highlights

• Hybrid construction: Durable woven front panels with PFC-free DWR resist wind and light rain; breathable 4-way stretch knit back and sides maximize airflow and freedom of movement.
• Athletic fit with an elastic waistband stays put under a pack hipbelt—no pinching, no slipping, even during dynamic movement.
• Two front pockets keep small essentials secure without adding bulk or bounce.
• Active Airflow Ventilation and moisture-wicking fabrics manage sweat on hot approaches and steep climbs.
• Sustainable by design: PFC-free water repellency and partially recycled materials reduce environmental impact.

In daily use

On a summer ridgeline traverse, the woven front shrugs off brush and light drizzle while the stretch back lets you high-step over rocks without restriction. The elastic waistband keeps the shorts in place under a pack hipbelt, and the quick-drying fabric means stream crossings are no reason to slow down. When the trail turns into a runnable descent, the shorts move with you—no flapping, no chafing. At camp, they dry fast and pack down small, ready for the next day's objective.
