The Faber-Castell 166008 Black fineliner set contains eight identical black fineliners designed for precise writing and detailed drawing. Each pen has a round barrel and delivers consistent ink flow for smooth lines without frequent skips. The compact set is suitable for use in school, studio or office environments where reliability and fine line control are required.

Advantages

These fineliners provide a stable, even black line that supports detailed sketching, technical drawing and everyday writing tasks. The round shape of the pen body offers comfortable handling during extended use, while the consistent ink flow reduces interruptions. The set of eight identical pens ensures spare pens are available when one runs out, contributing to uninterrupted workflow.

Suitable for

• Fine-line drawing and illustration
• Technical sketches, diagrams and annotations
• Note-taking, journaling and daily writing
• Outlining and ink work for mixed media

Key specifications

• Ink color: black
• Quantity in set: 8 pens
• Barrel shape: round
• Line quality: consistent ink flow for smooth lines
• Suitable tip type: fineliner for precise, narrow lines

How to use

Remove the cap and hold the fineliner at a comfortable angle to produce clear, fine lines. Apply gentle, even pressure to maintain consistent ink flow; avoid pressing too hard to prevent tip damage. Replace the cap after use to prevent drying. For best results on porous papers, test on a scrap to check for bleed-through and adjust paper choice or line pressure accordingly.

Recommendations

Store pens horizontally or with caps securely closed in a cool, dry place. Use archival or suitable drawing paper when permanence and minimal bleed-through are required. When working on technical or layered artwork, keep several pens from the set on hand to avoid color or flow variation as individual pens reach their end of life.
