Smartwool Classic Merino Base Layer Bottom Boxed - zwart, maat L

For cold-weather athletes who refuse to let freezing temperatures dictate their performance, the Smartwool Classic Merino Base Layer Bottom offers heavyweight warmth without the bulk. Unlike synthetic base layers that trap odor and feel clammy against the skin, this bottom is knit from 100% ZQ-certified Merino wool, delivering natural temperature regulation, moisture management, and odor resistance that lasts through multi-day adventures. The interlock knit construction adds durability where you need it most, while the slim fit and flatlock seams ensure a smooth, chafe-free layer under ski pants or hiking shells.

Highlights

• 100% ZQ-certified Merino wool: exceptionally soft, naturally odor-resistant, and responsibly sourced
• Heavyweight 250 g/m² interlock knit provides serious warmth for skiing, snowboarding, and cold hikes
• Slim fit with flatlock seams eliminates bulk and prevents chafing under outer layers
• Covered elastic waistband stays put without digging in, even during dynamic movement
• Naturally breathable and moisture-wicking: keeps you dry and comfortable from first chair to last run

In daily use

Pull on the Classic Merino Base Layer Bottom and you’ll immediately notice the soft, non-itchy feel of premium Merino against your skin. The slim cut layers effortlessly under ski pants or insulated trousers, while the flatlock seams remain invisible even after hours of hiking or riding. Merino’s inherent breathability prevents overheating on strenuous climbs, yet the heavyweight fabric traps warmth when you stop moving. And because Merino resists odor naturally, you can wear these bottoms for multiple days in the backcountry without worry.
