Glasvezel-pigtailkabel LOGON LFP025 OM3 SC naar pigtail, 2 m, aqua

LOGON LFP025 OM3 SC to pigtail is a 2 m fibre optic pigtail cable designed for splicing and patch-panel termination in datacenter and campus network environments. It combines an SC connector on one end with an open pigtail on the other, using OM3 multimode fibre to support short-range high-speed links. The cable comes with an aqua-coloured LSZH jacket for clear identification and safe use in indoor installations.

Advantages

The OM3 multimode fibre provides higher bandwidth for short-distance links compared with lower-grade multimode types, enabling reliable transmission for 10 Gbps and similar applications where multimode is appropriate. The SC connector offers a widely used, push-pull interface for easy mating in patch panels and equipment. The LSZH jacket reduces smoke and toxic emissions in case of fire, making the cable suitable for indoor and enclosed spaces. Colour coding (aqua) simplifies identification and management in multi-fibre trays and racks.

Suitable for

• Datacenter patch panel terminations and splicing
• Campus and enterprise fibre backbone links (short range)
• Server room fibre installations and equipment connections
• Fibre pigtail sets and fibre management trays

Key specifications

• Fibre type: OM3 multimode
• Length: 2 m
• Connector on factory end: SC (male)
• Other end: open pigtail for fusion splicing or termination
• Jacket material: Low Smoke Zero Halogen (LSZH)
• Jacket colour: aqua (colour-coded for identification)

How to use

Prepare the fibre termination area and ensure fusion splicing or mechanical splice equipment is available. Strip and cleave the fibre pigtail following standard fibre handling procedures, then perform fusion splicing or appropriate termination between the open pigtail and the installed fibre backbone. Insert the SC connector into the corresponding adapter or port in a patch panel or device. Secure and organise the cable within trays or management panels to maintain bend radii and protect splices.

Recommendations

Handle the pigtail with fibre-safe tools and eye protection. Maintain minimum bend radius and avoid tensile stress to preserve OM3 performance. Use the aqua-coloured jacket to keep consistent colour-coding across multimode runs and label or document connections in rack diagrams for easier maintenance.
