GLORIOUS GPBT Backlit Keycaps — PBT wit, ANSI-layout

GLORIOUS GPBT Backlit Keycaps in white are replacement keycaps for mechanical keyboards with an ANSI layout. Manufactured from PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), these keycaps are designed to resist shine and wear over time while allowing compatible backlighting to shine through the legends. The set is suitable for users who want to change the look and feel of their keyboard, improve keycap durability compared with typical ABS sets, and maintain clear illumination for gaming or office environments.

Advantages

The PBT construction provides greater surface durability and reduced glossing compared to ABS, offering a more consistent texture during extended use. Legends are designed for backlighting compatibility so key illumination is preserved for clear visibility in low-light conditions. The ANSI layout sizing ensures straightforward replacement on keyboards built to that standard, and the neutral white color supports a wide range of aesthetic combinations.

Suitable for

• Mechanical keyboards with ANSI profile key spacing
• Users seeking more durable PBT keycaps as an upgrade from ABS sets
• Backlit keyboards where legend illumination is required
• Custom keyboard projects and aesthetic remodelling
• Gaming and office setups needing clear, consistent key visibility

Key specifications

• Backlight support: Legends are compatible with under-key lighting

How to use

Turn off and unplug your keyboard before replacing keycaps. Remove existing keycaps using a keycap puller to avoid damaging switches. Align each GLORIOUS GPBT Backlit keycap with the switch stem and press down gently until it is fully seated. For stabilised keys such as the spacebar, enter/shift, and backspace, make sure stabilisers are correctly positioned and engaged before seating the keycap. After installation, reconnect the keyboard and verify key function and backlighting operation.

Recommendations

For best results, pair these PBT keycaps with mechanical switches that provide clear stem alignment and with keyboards that support ANSI layout. Clean keycaps with a soft, dry cloth; if necessary, use a mild detergent and water, then dry thoroughly before reinstallation. Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods to maintain color consistency.
