The Hama "PA 506" Stereo Phono Preamplifier with included 230 V/50 Hz power supply amplifies and equalises signals from turntables with magnetic cartridges so they can be connected to line-level inputs on stereo systems, audio mixing desks or PC sound cards. It is a low-noise preamplifier featuring RIAA equalisation and comes with a 230 V / 50 Hz, 300 mA power supply unit.

How to use

Connect the turntable's phono output to the PA 506 input, connect the preamplifier's line output to the aux/line input of your stereo system, mixer or PC sound card, and plug the included 230 V power supply into a mains outlet. Select the appropriate input on the receiving device and start playback on the turntable. Adjust levels on the amplifier or mixer as needed to obtain the desired volume without clipping.

Recommendations

For best results, use a properly grounded turntable and ensure cable connections are secure. Keep the preamplifier away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference and connect to the receiver or mixer using good-quality shielded RCA cables.
