Hamer PICARD 12 zwart Wood Steel Head 800g

The PICARD 12 Black Wood Steel Head 800g hammer combines a forged steel head with a traditional wooden handle, offering a balanced tool for general carpentry and maintenance tasks. With a head weight of 800 g and an overall length of 350 mm, this hammer is designed to provide controlled impact force while remaining manageable for extended use. The black finish on the steel head improves wear resistance and reduces glare during work.

Advantages

The forged steel head delivers consistent striking performance and long-term durability. The wooden handle absorbs some vibration and provides a natural grip feel, enhancing control during nailing and light demolition. The 800 g head weight offers a compromise between driving power and precision, making the tool suitable for a wide range of common jobs. The overall construction emphasizes reliability and straightforward maintenance.

Suitable for

• Driving nails in framing and finish carpentry
• Small demolition and dismantling tasks
• General repair and maintenance work
• Woodworking and joinery where controlled strikes are required

Key specifications

• Head material: forged steel with black finish
• Head weight: 800 g
• Handle material: wood
• Overall length: 350 mm
• Tool type: claw/strike hammer for general use

How to use

Grip the wooden handle near the end for maximum leverage when driving nails, or closer to the head for greater control during precision work. Align the hammer face with the nail head and use smooth, controlled swings to avoid bending nails or causing unintended damage. For demolition tasks, use the claw end to remove nails or pry apart materials. Inspect the handle and head connection periodically and avoid using a damaged handle.

Recommendations

Wear appropriate eye protection when striking or prying. Store the hammer in a dry place to prevent handle swelling or degradation. Replace the handle if cracks or looseness develop; do not use a hammer with a loose head.
