IP-beveiligingscamera Hikvision DS-2CD2087G2-L(2.8MM) buiten

The Hikvision DS-2CD2087G2-L(2.8MM) Outdoor is an IP security camera designed for permanent exterior surveillance. It captures 4K UHD video at a resolution of 3840 x 2160 pixels and up to 30 fps, using a CMOS sensor paired with a fixed 2.8 mm focal length lens. The camera supports wired Ethernet connectivity, wall mounting and a 360° rotation design together with a wide horizontal viewing angle of 102° and vertical of 52°. Built-in ColorVu technology with an F1.0 super-aperture and warm supplemental lighting provides vivid full‑color images around the clock, improving detail visibility in low-light and near-zero-light conditions.

Advantages

This outdoor IP security camera delivers high-resolution 4K video suitable for capturing fine detail across wide scenes while maintaining a compact bullet form factor. ColorVu technology with an F1.0 lens and advanced sensor increases light collection for brighter, true-color footage in low illumination. The camera offers reliable wired Ethernet connectivity and supports wall mounting for straightforward installation. Features such as video motion detection enhance automated monitoring and reduce the need for constant manual observation.

How to use

Mount the camera on a suitably rated exterior wall using the included bracket and hardware, ensuring the chosen position provides the intended field of view and protection from direct weather exposure where possible. Connect the camera to a PoE-enabled switch or injector via Ethernet for power and data, or follow the supplied wiring instructions for the supported network configuration. Access the camera through a compatible Hikvision NVR or client software to configure resolution, frame rate, motion detection zones and recording schedules. Adjust orientation and rotation to align the 102° horizontal field of view with the monitored area.

Recommendations

For best low-light color performance, install the camera with a clear view of the area to be monitored and avoid placing strong light sources directly in front of the lens. Configure motion detection sensitivity and scheduling in the recorder or client software to reduce false alarms and optimize storage usage. Use a PoE connection where available to simplify installation and ensure reliable power delivery.
