IP-beveiligingscamera Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2686G2HT-IZS(2.8-12)/eF/BLK

The Hikvision Pro Series DS-2CD2686G2HT-IZS(2.8-12)/eF/BLK is an outdoor bullet IP security camera offering 4K resolution (3840 x 2160) and motorized varifocal lens (2.8–12 mm). Designed for wired installations on ceilings or walls, the camera combines a CMOS image sensor with a wide horizontal field of view (112.3° to 41.2°) and a vertical field of view (58.1° to 23.1°). The device supports up to 30 fps capture and provides long detection ranges of approximately 87 m at wide angle and 216 m at telephoto, making it suitable for perimeter and area surveillance while maintaining a discreet black appearance for outdoor placement.

Advantages

This Hikvision IP camera delivers high-resolution 4K imaging to capture fine detail across large outdoor areas while keeping bandwidth and storage efficient through modern compression and streaming capabilities. The motorized 2.8–12 mm varifocal lens allows on-site or remote adjustment of the field of view without replacing optics. Built for wired network deployment, the camera supports video motion detection and is optimized for ceiling or wall mounting. Its durable outdoor design and balanced weight make installation straightforward for professional and enterprise CCTV systems.

Suitable for

• Perimeter and property surveillance for commercial sites
• Parking lots and vehicle monitoring
• Entrance, gate and driveway observation
• Large outdoor areas such as campuses, warehouses and industrial yards

How to use

Mount the camera on a suitable outdoor surface (ceiling or wall) using compatible mounting hardware and ensure a stable wired Ethernet connection for power and data as required by your installation (PoE recommended if supported by system). Adjust the motorized 2.8–12 mm lens either locally or via the camera interface to set the desired field of view and focus for the monitored area. Configure frame rate, resolution and motion detection settings through the network video recorder (NVR) or camera web/management interface to balance image quality with storage and bandwidth needs. Verify correct day/night performance and detection distance after installation by testing at representative lighting and range conditions.

Recommendations

For reliable outdoor operation, install the camera under an overhang or use a weatherproof junction box where possible to reduce direct exposure to extreme elements. Use a PoE-enabled switch or midspan injector to simplify cabling and provide stable power. Calibrate the varifocal lens and motion detection sensitivity after initial mount to minimize false alarms and ensure optimal coverage for the intended surveillance zone.
