IR LED-eenheid Axis 01212-001

The AXIS T90D30 IR-LED unit (model 01212-001) is an external infrared illuminator designed to extend and optimize night-time visibility for Axis network cameras. Using advanced LED technology, it delivers targeted infrared light to increase illumination distance while reducing wasted light and preventing overexposure of foreground objects. The unit ships with a pre-mounted 10° diverging lens and includes interchangeable 35°, 60° and 80° lenses; an optional 120° lens is available to match different camera fields of view.

Advantages

This IR LED unit generates longer and more focused infrared illumination, minimizing light spill and reducing overexposure in the scene. Interchangeable lenses allow precise adjustment of the beam angle to suit different camera lenses and mounting positions. The compact black housing is designed for outdoor surveillance setups and is compatible with Axis network camera systems.

Suitable for

• Extending night-time coverage for Axis network cameras
• Outdoor perimeter and property surveillance
• Scenes requiring controlled infrared illumination to avoid foreground overexposure
• Installations needing adjustable beam angles to match camera field of view

How to use

Mount the AXIS T90D30 IR-LED unit near the camera so the beam aligns with the camera’s field of view. Select and install the diverging lens that best matches the camera lens angle (10°, 35°, 60°, 80° or optional 120°) to optimize illumination coverage. Aim the unit and secure it according to the mounting instructions provided by Axis, then power and test the camera in low-light conditions to confirm even illumination without overexposed foreground objects.

Recommendations

Choose a narrower lens (10° or 35°) for long-distance, focused illumination and a wider lens (60°, 80°, or 120°) for close-range or broad-area coverage. Position the illuminator to avoid direct reflection into the camera and to minimize light spillage into unwanted areas.
