Artists often struggle with canvases that warp, have thin priming, or lack the right tooth for their medium. The Kangaroo K-810051 stretched canvas solves these issues with a robust construction: 100% cotton canvas at 380 g/m², triple-primed with gesso, and mounted on a 16 mm deep wooden frame. Each pack contains four canvases measuring 300 x 400 mm, ready for acrylic, oil, gouache, or tempera painting.

Who is it for

This canvas is ideal for art students, hobbyists, and professional artists who need reliable, medium-weight canvases for a variety of painting techniques. The 3-layer gesso priming provides a smooth, absorbent surface that holds paint well without excessive sinking, while the sturdy frame prevents warping during work.

Tips

For best results, apply a thin layer of gesso if you prefer a smoother surface, though the pre-primed canvas is ready for immediate use. To prevent warping in humid environments, store canvases flat or upright in a dry area. When painting with oils, consider an additional sizing layer to protect the canvas from oil penetration over time.
