Kinderstrijkplank met stoomstation-speelgoed, Simba-Dickie Smoby (model 7600330125)

This children's ironing board with steam station from Simba-Dickie under the Smoby line reproduces the look and basic functions of a real ironing station in a toy format designed for preschool-age play. The product is intended as a role-play appliance that helps children imitate household routines and practice fine motor skills while learning cause-and-effect relationships. The design resembles an adult steam ironing station with a board, an iron-shaped toy, and control details for realistic interaction.

Advantages

The toy combines a stable ironing board platform with a lightweight, child-safe iron unit that mimics steam and power controls without heat. Materials are chosen for durability and easy cleaning, and the construction keeps moving parts accessible and safe for young children. The compact shape and simple assembly make it suitable for home playrooms and for storage when not in use. The neutral colour scheme and recognizable form support imaginative role play and social interaction.

Suitable for

• Preschool role-play and pretend household activities
• Developing fine motor coordination and hand-eye skills
• Social play and sharing scenarios with peers or family
• Learning routine tasks and cause-and-effect through safe imitation

Key specifications

• Toy type: children's ironing board with simulated steam station
• Design: board platform with separate toy iron and control panel elements
• Materials: child-safe plastic construction suitable for surface cleaning
• Age range: intended for preschool children (role-play stage)
• Assembly: simple snap-fit or screw connections for stable use

How to use

Set up the ironing board on a flat surface and secure any removable parts according to the included assembly guidance. The toy produces no real heat; supervision is recommended during play to guide safe handling and to help younger children understand the pretend steam and power features.

Recommendations

Use the toy as part of supervised role-play sessions, pairing it with fabric scraps or child's play clothes to practice folding and gentle ironing motions. Store the set assembled or disassembled in a dry place, and clean surfaces with a damp cloth. Regularly check for wear or small detachable parts before play to maintain safety.
