Klapmes Böker Solingen Kihon Bifold MagnaCut – compact zakmes, roestvrijstalen greep, zakclip

The Böker Solingen Kihon Bifold with a MagnaCut blade is a compact pocket knife designed for everyday carry and general utility tasks. It combines a stainless metal handle, a reliable bifold/liner-lock mechanism and a pocket clip to offer a compact, secure tool for cutting, opening packages and light outdoor use. The MagnaCut blade material provides improved edge retention and corrosion resistance compared to standard stainless steels, while the overall size and folding design make the knife convenient to carry in a pocket.

Advantages

The compact design balances strength and portability through a sturdy stainless handle and a secure liner-lock that keeps the blade stable during use. The MagnaCut blade material delivers consistent cutting performance and longer edge life, reducing the need for frequent sharpening. An integrated pocket clip allows safe and accessible carry, and the folding construction protects the blade and minimizes bulk when stowed.

How to use

Open the knife by disengaging the folding mechanism and rotating the blade into the locked position until the liner-lock engages. Verify the blade is fully locked before applying cutting force. Use the knife for controlled slicing and cutting tasks, maintaining a firm grip on the stainless handle. After use, carefully press the liner-lock aside to fold the blade back into the handle until it is fully seated and secure. Follow normal safe cutting practices and keep fingers clear of the blade path while opening and closing.

Recommendations

Maintain the MagnaCut blade by wiping it clean after use and applying light oil to the pivot and blade surfaces to prevent moisture buildup. Sharpen the blade with appropriate sharpening stones or systems when required, following manufacturers’ guidance for steel type. Store the folded knife in a dry place and periodically check the pocket clip and lock for secure function.
