Leerset Eichhorn EI-2235 – houten leerbouwset voor kleuters

The Eichhorn EI-2235 Educational Set is a wooden learning kit designed for preschool children to support early development through tactile, guided play. The set contains simple, durable wooden pieces in basic shapes and colors that encourage hands-on exploration without electronic components. It is intended for use at home or in kindergarten as a tool for structured activities led by a caregiver or teacher, focusing on fine motor coordination, shape and color recognition, and basic problem-solving.

Advantages

The kit provides a tactile learning experience using non-toxic, solid wood pieces that withstand regular handling. Its compact, low-tech design promotes direct interaction between child and educator, facilitating step-by-step skill development. The clear, basic color palette and easily distinguishable shapes make the set suitable for introducing foundational visual concepts and encouraging repetitive practice of motor tasks.

Suitable for

• Preschool learning activities at home
• Small-group exercises in kindergarten or early childhood classrooms
• Therapeutic play focused on fine motor skill development
• Parent-child guided activities for shape and color recognition

Key specifications

• Material: solid wood with child-safe paint
• Components: assorted wooden shapes and pieces for manual assembly and manipulation
• Design: non-electronic, manually operated
• Age range: appropriate for preschool-aged children (guided use)
• Finish: smooth edges and durable coating for repeated handling

How to use

Use the set during short, supervised sessions tailored to the child’s attention span. Introduce one activity at a time—sorting by shape or color, fitting pieces together, or simple pattern-making—while demonstrating each step. Encourage the child to handle pieces independently when ready, but remain nearby to support and prevent accidental misuse. Rotate activities to maintain interest and repeat tasks to reinforce learning goals.

Recommendations

For best results, pair the wooden set with guided verbal instruction and simple questions that prompt recognition and problem-solving. Supervise play to ensure safety, and store pieces in a dry place when not in use to preserve the wooden finish.
