Lineaire mechanische toetsenbordschakelaar KINGSTON HyperX 85U07AA 45 g activeringskracht

Linear mechanical keyboard switch KINGSTON HyperX with 45 g actuation force delivers smooth, consistent keystrokes without a tactile bump or audible click. Designed for users who prefer uninterrupted key travel, this MX-compatible linear switch suits both gaming and rapid typing where low resistance and predictable actuation improve responsiveness and repeatability. The switch fits standard MX-style hot-swappable sockets as well as soldered PCBs and accepts common keycap stems, enabling straightforward customization and replacement.

Advantages

The linear design ensures quiet, uniform travel from top to bottom, reducing noise during extended use and enabling faster double-taps and key repeats. A moderate 45 g actuation force balances low fatigue with accurate input, making the switch suitable for long sessions without accidental presses. Compatibility with MX-style housings and stems simplifies installation, removal and keycap swaps for custom builds and repairs.

Suitable for

• Competitive and casual gaming where smooth, consistent keystrokes aid rapid inputs
• Fast typists who prefer linear feel and minimal tactile interruption
• Keyboard customization and switch modding projects
• Upgrading or replacing switches on MX-compatible hot-swap or soldered keyboards

Key specifications

• Switch type: linear (no tactile bump, no click)
• Actuation force: 45 g
• Compatibility: standard MX-style keycap stems and PCB sockets (hot-swap and soldered)
• Intended use: mechanical keyboards for gaming and typing
• Construction: two-piece housing with cross-compatible stem geometry

How to use

Install the switch into an MX-compatible hot-swap socket or solder it onto a compatible PCB following standard keyboard assembly procedures. Ensure the stem orientation matches neighboring switches and press evenly until the housing seats fully; for soldered installations, secure with proper soldering techniques to avoid damage. Pair with compatible keycaps and stabilizers, then test each key for smooth travel and reliable actuation before full use.

Recommendations

For quieter operation and improved smoothness, consider applying a light, appropriate lubricant to the stem and rail surfaces and using compatible dampening foam in the keyboard case. When replacing switches on a soldered PCB, use desoldering tools carefully or consult a technician if unsure. Store unused switches in a dry environment away from direct sunlight.
