Luidsprekerkabel ShiverPeaks 06-181011, 1,5 mm² doorsnede, 25 m lengte

ShiverPeaks 06-181011 speaker cable is a 25 m length audio cable with a 1.5 mm² conductor cross-section, designed for connecting loudspeakers to amplifiers or receivers in home and small commercial audio systems. The cable uses a multi-strand conductor configuration to provide reasonable flexibility and consistent electrical contact across a single continuous run, enabling reliable signal transfer over moderate distances while maintaining low resistance appropriate for typical speaker loads.

Advantages

The cable combines a 1.5 mm² cross-section with a multi-strand construction to balance current carrying capacity and flexibility. Its transparent insulation allows visual inspection of conductors and polarity marking if present, while the single continuous length of 25 m reduces the need for joints or intermediate connectors. The conductor construction minimizes resistance and ensures stable impedance for short to moderate speaker runs.

Suitable for

• In-room wired speaker connections in living rooms and home theaters
• Small commercial audio installations and background music systems
• Connecting bookshelf or floor-standing loudspeakers to amplifiers or receivers over moderate distances
• Speaker wiring where a single continuous 25 m run is required

Key specifications

• Conductor cross-section: 1.5 mm²
• Length: 25 m continuous run
• Conductor type: multi-strand (fine strands for flexibility)
• Insulation: transparent jacket for conductor visibility
• Intended use: low- to moderate-power speaker connections

How to use

Strip appropriate lengths of insulation from each conductor at both ends, taking care not to nick the strands. Observe correct polarity when connecting to amplifier and speaker terminals to preserve channel phase. Use proper connector types or crimp/banana plugs if required by equipment terminals, and ensure tight, corrosion-free contact. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and sources of electromagnetic interference; secure runs with clips or cable ties without compressing the jacket.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, keep run lengths within moderate distances to minimize power loss and check connections periodically for oxidation. When higher power handling or longer runs are required, consider a larger cross-section cable. Use strain relief at terminations and avoid running speaker cable in parallel with mains power cables to reduce potential interference.
