Mammut Ducan III High GORE-TEX dameswandelschoenen zwart

Where most hiking boots merely shield your feet, the Mammut Ducan III High GORE-TEX acts as a springboard for every stride. Its Flextron Technology—a dynamic metal plate integrated into the sole—stores kinetic energy as you plant your foot and releases it on push-off, turning long ascents into a rhythm rather than a grind. Built on the Georganic 3D last shaped specifically for the female foot, this boot wraps the heel and arch with anatomical precision, eliminating the hotspots and blisters that plague lesser designs. The result is a high-cut trekking boot that feels less like equipment and more like an extension of your own biomechanics.

Highlights

• GORE-TEX Extended Comfort membrane: durably waterproof, optimally breathable, and suitable for a wide range of temperatures.
• Vibram Flextron outsole: aggressive lug pattern and adaptive flex for confident grip on rock, mud, and loose terrain.
• Flextron Technology: integrated spring-steel plate reduces fatigue and enhances forward propulsion.
• Georganic 3D construction: women-specific last with anatomical arch support and a roomy toe box.
• OrthoLite footbed: high-rebound cushioning with moisture management and antimicrobial properties.
• PFC-free DWR and recycled content: sustainable performance without compromising durability.

In daily use

Lace up the Ducan III High and the immediate sensation is one of snug, even compression across the instep—no pressure points, no slippage. The double engineered mesh upper breathes actively during steep climbs yet resists abrasion from scree and underbrush. The high cut and robust lacing system lock the ankle securely, providing lateral stability when carrying a pack over uneven ground. On descents, the Vibram Flextron sole bites confidently, while the EVA midsole absorbs impact to protect knees and joints. Cross a stream and the GORE-TEX membrane keeps feet dry; push through a humid forest and the lining wicks moisture outward. From fast-paced day hikes to multi-day treks, this boot maintains comfort and support from the first kilometre to the last.
