Mammut Virve 8.0 Alpine Core Protect Dry touw 50 m

The Mammut Virve 8.0 Alpine Core Protect Dry Rope is a high-performance dynamic rope designed for alpine climbing, multi-pitch routes, and glacier travel. With a diameter of 8.0 mm, it functions as both a half rope and a twin rope, offering versatility and reliability in demanding mountain environments. The rope features Mammut Dry treatment on both core and sheath, providing excellent water repellency and durability. The Thermo Shield treatment enhances handling and reduces water absorption. The 50-meter length is ideal for shorter alpine ascents and glacier traverses.

Advantages

Lightweight and compact, the Virve 8.0 reduces pack weight without compromising safety. The Dry treatment ensures the rope remains functional even in wet conditions, while the Thermo Shield treatment improves flexibility and grip. The high number of UIAA falls (20 as twin rope) and low impact force (6.2 kN) provide excellent energy absorption and safety margins. The center mark facilitates easy handling and orientation.
