Negatiefhouder PLUSTEK OpticFilm 135 voor 35-mm-filmscans

Negative holder PLUSTEK OpticFilm 135 for 35mm film scans is a film carrier designed to position and secure 35mm film strips for scanning with compatible PLUSTEK OpticFilm scanners. The holder ensures consistent frame spacing and alignment across multiple exposures, supports batch scanning of several frames in one pass, and reduces direct handling of delicate negatives. It is intended for digitizing photographic negatives and slides into high-resolution digital files for archiving, restoration, or general preservation workflows.

Advantages

The negative holder provides stable mechanical registration to maintain correct frame alignment and repeatable scanning results. Its construction minimizes movement and light leakage during scans, improving image sharpness and uniformity. By accommodating multiple frames in a single strip, it speeds up workflows and reduces the risk of dust and fingerprints from frequent handling. The design is compatible with PLUSTEK OpticFilm scanners, enabling straightforward insertion and consistent placement.

Suitable for

• Digitizing 35mm film negatives and color or black-and-white slides
• Batch scanning multiple frames for archiving and cataloging
• Film restoration and image retouching preparation
• Creating high-resolution digital backups of photographic collections

Key specifications

• Format compatibility: 35mm film strips
• Frame capacity: holds multiple standard 35mm frames in a strip
• Material: rigid film carrier suitable for scanner insertion
• Compatibility: designed for use with PLUSTEK OpticFilm series scanners
• Function: secures negatives for consistent framing and reduced handling

How to use

Insert the 35mm film strip into the holder so that each frame aligns with the carrier openings. Ensure the film lies flat without wrinkles or curling, and that the edges engage the guide rails of the holder. Place the loaded holder into the scanner’s film tray or film slot according to the scanner’s user manual, then follow the scanner software prompts to preview and scan. For batch scanning, repeat placement of successive strips as required; confirm frame order and orientation in the preview step before final scanning.

Recommendations

Handle negatives by the edges and work on a clean, dust-free surface. Use a blower or anti-static brush to remove loose debris before loading. Avoid touching the emulsion side to reduce fingerprints. Store the holder in a protective sleeve when not in use to prevent scratches and dust accumulation.
