Netwerkkabel EFB Elektronik K8066.20 — Cat6 S/FTP (S-STP), RJ-45 naar RJ-45, 20 m, grijs

EFB Elektronik K8066.20 is a 20 m Cat6 network cable with S/FTP (S-STP) shielding and RJ-45 connectors on both ends. The cable is designed for Gigabit Ethernet and structured LAN installations, featuring individually foil-wrapped twisted pairs and an overall braided shield to reduce electromagnetic interference and crosstalk. Its grey jacket provides a neutral appearance suitable for visible installations in homes and offices while maintaining stable data transmission for connected devices.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding combines foil around each twisted pair with an overall braid, offering improved protection against external noise compared with unshielded cables. Cat6 specification ensures reliable support for Gigabit Ethernet speeds and reduced pair-to-pair interference. Factory-attached RJ-45 plugs simplify installation and provide consistent connector quality. The 20 m length covers mid-range distances between network equipment such as switches, patch panels and workstations without additional patching.

Suitable for

• Gigabit Ethernet connections in home and small office networks
• Patch panels and network switches
• Wired connections for desktop computers, printers and networked storage
• Environments where reduced electromagnetic interference is important

Key specifications

• Category: Cat6
• Shielding: S/FTP (foil on each pair + overall braid)
• Connector type: RJ-45 to RJ-45, factory-terminated
• Length: 20 m
• Colour: Grey

How to use

Connect one RJ-45 plug to the network port of a router, switch or patch panel and the other RJ-45 plug to the target device such as a PC, NAS or access point. Avoid tight bends and sharp kinks in the cable; maintain gentle curves and secure the cable with cable ties or clips where appropriate. For best performance, keep the cable separated from power lines and sources of strong electromagnetic interference during routing.

Recommendations

Use this Cat6 S/FTP cable for in-room or in-cabinet connections up to 20 m where consistent Gigabit performance and improved shielding are required. If running the cable alongside mains cabling or near heavy electrical equipment, maintain separation or use additional conduit to minimise potential interference.
