Netwerkkabel EFB Elektronik K8580BL.2 RJ-45 Cat6a 2m blauw

The EFB Elektronik K8580BL.2 RJ-45 Cat6a 2m Blue is a 2-meter S/FTP (S-STP) network cable designed for high-speed wired connections up to 10000 Mbit/s. It uses gold-plated RJ-45 connectors and Category 6a transmission characteristics to support 10G Ethernet over short runs. The blue jacket allows easy cable identification within home or office network installations.

Advantages

The S/FTP shielding minimizes electromagnetic interference and crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with multiple cables and electronic equipment. Gold-plated RJ-45 plugs reduce contact corrosion and provide a stable, low-resistance connection. Category 6a specification enables reliable 10 Gigabit Ethernet performance at typical copper distances for data centers, server rooms, and high-demand workstations.

Suitable for

• 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections between switches, routers, and servers over short distances
• High-speed wired connections for gaming PCs and workstations
• Structured cabling in small office and home office (SOHO) environments
• Connecting networked AV equipment, NAS devices, and media players

Key specifications

• Cable category: Cat6a (supports 10GBASE-T)
• Data rate: up to 10000 Mbit/s
• Length: 2 m
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid with individually shielded pairs)
• Connectors: RJ-45 to RJ-45, gold-plated contacts
• Colour: Blue

How to use

Plug one RJ-45 connector into the network port of your switch, router, NAS or computer and the other into the corresponding port on the remote device. Ensure connectors are fully inserted until the latch clicks to secure a proper connection. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends, heavy compression, and sources of strong electromagnetic noise to maintain performance. For permanent installations, allow service loops and avoid running alongside power cables where possible.

Recommendations

Use the cable for interconnecting network devices within its 2 m length to ensure full 10G performance; in environments with dense cabling or high EMI, combine S/FTP cables with proper grounding at patch panels or switch chassis to maximize shielding effectiveness.
