Oplaadbare knoopcelbatterij Varta 15H NiMH 15 mAh 2,4 V

Rechargeable Button Cell Battery Varta 15H NiMH 15 mAh 2.4 V is a compact, low-voltage accumulator designed for miniature electronic devices that require repeated charging cycles and a stable output. The cell provides nominal 2.4 V and 15 mAh capacity in a button-sized format, offering a rechargeable alternative to disposable primary cells for applications where space is limited and long-term reuse is important. It is manufactured by Varta and intended for devices with low continuous or intermittent current draw.

Advantages

This rechargeable NiMH button cell delivers consistent voltage under typical small-load conditions and supports multiple charge-discharge cycles, reducing the need for frequent battery replacement. Its small diameter and low profile make it suitable for tight compartments, and the NiMH chemistry avoids some of the environmental concerns associated with single-use cells. The stable nominal voltage and modest capacity are optimized for memory backup, small sensors and similar low-power electronics.

Suitable for

• Watches and timekeeping devices with rechargeable cell compatibility
• Memory backup in instruments and data loggers
• Medical sensors and portable health-monitoring devices
• Small remote controls, key fobs, and miniature transmitters
• Electronic toys and hobby electronics with low power requirements

Key specifications

• Chemistry: Nickel‑metal hydride (NiMH)
• Nominal voltage: 2.4 V
• Rated capacity: 15 mAh
• Form factor: button cell (small diameter, low height)
• Rechargeable: yes — designed for multiple charge/discharge cycles
• Typical applications: low-drain, compact electronic devices

How to use

Install the cell according to the device manufacturer's polarity markings, ensuring correct orientation of the positive and negative terminals. Use a charger specifically designed for NiMH button cells or a device charging circuit that supports the cell's nominal voltage and capacity; avoid charging with inappropriate high-current chargers. Observe recommended charging currents and termination methods from the equipment or charger manufacturer to prevent overcharging. Replace the cell if capacity noticeably decreases or if physical damage or leakage is observed.

Recommendations

Store the battery in a cool, dry place and avoid prolonged exposure to high temperatures. Before installing, ensure the contact surfaces in the device are clean and free of corrosion. For best lifetime, avoid deep discharges and follow the charger manufacturer's guidance on charge current and termination. Dispose of or recycle batteries according to local regulations.
