PC-behuizing Akasa Plato X8 Small Form Factor zwart

The Akasa Plato X8 Small Form Factor Black is a compact PC case engineered for space-saving desktop and home theater PC builds. It supports UCFF motherboards and accepts 2.5" storage drives, while relying on an external power supply. Constructed from aluminium with a matte black finish, the case measures 247 mm (W) × 240 mm (D) × 38.5 mm (H) and is supplied with AC and SATA cables to simplify installation of drives and power connections.

Advantages

The aluminium construction offers a lightweight yet durable enclosure that helps with passive heat dissipation. The Small Form Factor design minimizes footprint on a desk or media cabinet while still providing two front USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports for convenient peripheral connection. Inclusion of AC and SATA cables reduces the need to source additional accessories for initial setup. The external power arrangement removes the need for an internal PSU, enabling slimmer internal dimensions and simpler thermal management.

Suitable for

• Compact desktop PCs where space is limited
• Home theater PC (HTPC) setups for living-room installations
• UCFF motherboard-based builds and small office computers
• Systems using 2.5" SSDs or HDDs for storage

Secure the board and drives with the appropriate screws and ensure connectors are fully seated. Position the external power adapter outside the enclosure, connect its output to the case input, and plug the AC cable into a mains outlet. Connect peripherals to the two USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports as needed.

Recommendations

For optimal thermal performance, place the case in a well-ventilated location and avoid obstructing any vents. Use 2.5" SSDs when possible to reduce vibration and power draw. Verify motherboard and I/O layout compatibility with UCFF dimensions before assembly and ensure the external power adapter matches the voltage and amperage requirements of your components.
