Potlood Faber-Castell PITT GRAPHITE PURE HB zwart rond 1 stuk

The Faber-Castell PITT GRAPHITE PURE HB is a round graphite pencil in black with HB hardness, designed for drawing, sketching and shading. Part of Faber-Castell’s PITT Graphic range, this pencil continues the brand’s long tradition of quality graphite tools and delivers a consistent, dark line suitable for both artists and students.

Advantages

The round HB lead offers a balance between softness and control, allowing for both fine lines and broader shading depending on pressure. The pure graphite formulation provides even, smudge-resistant strokes and reliable break resistance for everyday use. Its compact single-piece format makes it convenient to carry and replace in pencil cases.

How to use

Use the pencil for freehand sketching, contour lines and shading. Vary pressure to achieve lighter or darker tones; lighter pressure produces delicate grey strokes, while firmer pressure creates deeper black lines. For extended shaded areas, work in layers and use consistent strokes to build an even tone. Sharpen with a standard pencil sharpener designed for graphite leads to maintain a fine point.

Recommendations

Store the pencil dry and protected from knocks to avoid lead breakage. Combine with blending tools (tortillons or a soft brush) for smooth transitions; use alongside harder and softer grades from the PITT Graphic range when a wider tonal scale is required.
