Rackserver ERNITEC SR-2X58R-HW-WS – 2U, dual-socket, 8-bay (model SR-2X58R-HW-WS)

ERNITEC SR-2X58R-HW-WS is a 2U rack server built for professional IT environments that require compact, high-density compute and storage. The chassis supports a dual-socket CPU configuration and up to eight 3.5" drive bays with hardware RAID support. The server ships with Windows Server 2025 Standard preinstalled, providing a ready platform for virtualization, database hosting and enterprise applications.

Advantages

The short 58 cm depth makes the server suitable for racks with limited cabinet depth while still offering eight 3.5" drive bays for significant local storage capacity. Dual-socket support allows for scalable processor performance and hardware RAID provides reliable disk management and data protection. Preinstalled server OS reduces setup time for deployment in business environments.

Suitable for

• Virtualization hosts and hyperconverged nodes
• Database servers and transaction processing
• File and storage servers requiring multiple 3.5" drives
• Enterprise applications and small to medium data center racks

When it may not be suitable

This 2U server is optimized for dense storage and dual-socket CPU deployments; it may be excessive for simple single-CPU or lightweight office workloads where a smaller, lower-power server would be more cost-effective. Also, environments that require more than eight hot-swap 3.5" drives or very deep expansion options may need a larger chassis.

Key specifications

• Form factor: 2U rackmount
• Chassis depth: 58 cm (short depth design)
• CPU configuration: dual-socket supported
• Drive bays: up to 8 × 3.5" HDD bays with hardware RAID support
• Operating system: Windows Server 2025 Standard preinstalled

How to use

Install the server into a standard 19-inch rack using appropriate rails for 2U equipment. Populate CPUs, memory and drives according to workload requirements, configure the hardware RAID through the server management interface or RAID controller utility, and complete initial configuration of Windows Server 2025 Standard. Integrate the server into your network, apply updates and security settings, and deploy virtual machines or applications as needed.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify rack depth and rail compatibility for the 58 cm chassis
• Plan CPU, memory and drive capacity based on expected workloads
• Confirm required RAID levels and backup strategy

Recommendations

For reliable operation, use enterprise-class 3.5" drives and follow vendor guidance for RAID configuration and firmware updates; place the server in a rack with sufficient airflow and cooling to maintain optimal temperatures under sustained load.
