RFID-beschermhoezen voor paspoort HERMA 5549

HERMA RFID protectors for passport HERMA 5549 are single-pocket passport sleeves designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized reading of RFID chips in travel documents. The red sleeve measures 135 mm × 99 mm and features an image surface coloration that gives the protector a finished appearance while providing radio-frequency shielding to limit remote data access.

Advantages

The HERMA 5549 protector uses integrated foil that weakens radio signals to help prevent unauthorized readout, illegal copying and theft of data from passports and other RFID-enabled documents. Its single-pocket format fits standard passport sizes and the coloured image surface offers a neat look while remaining practical for travel use.

Suitable for

• Protecting passports with RFID chips
• Short trips and frequent travel where quick access is needed
• Storage of ID cards or travel documents of similar dimensions

How to use

Insert the passport or compatible travel document into the single pocket so the document is fully enclosed by the sleeve. Use the protector when carrying the passport in bags or pockets to reduce the chance of remote RFID scanning. Remove the document from the sleeve when access to the chip is required for legitimate checks.

Recommendations

For effective protection, ensure the passport is completely inside the sleeve during transport. Inspect the sleeve for damage or wear; replace it if the foil layer is compromised. Keep in mind that the protector reduces remote readout but does not alter or disable the chip in the document.
