Salewa Wildfire Leather 2 GTX approachschoenen bruin-zwart

The Wildfire Leather 2 GTX redefines approach footwear by merging the precision of a climbing shoe with the all-day comfort of a hiking boot. Unlike typical approach shoes that compromise on either grip or comfort, this model excels in both, thanks to its suede leather upper, EXA-Shell cage, and 3F System that deliver a secure, glove-like fit. The GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort lining keeps feet dry without sacrificing breathability, while the Pomoca Speed MTN outsole offers exceptional grip on rock and trail. The climbing lacing system extends to the toe for fine-tuned adjustment, making it ideal for technical scrambles and long approaches alike.

Highlights

• GORE-TEX® Extended Comfort waterproof-breathable lining
• Salewa 3F System and EXA-Shell for a precise, supportive fit
• Pomoca Speed MTN outsole with climbing zone for edging and smearing
• Climbing lacing system for a customizable, secure closure
• PFC-free DWR treatment on suede leather upper
• Anti-rock heel cup and protective rubber rand for durability

In daily use

From the moment you lace up, the Wildfire Leather 2 GTX feels like an extension of your foot. The MFF+ footbed adapts to your arch, while the EVA midsole cushions every step without dulling sensitivity. On technical terrain, the shoe's 11 mm drop and stiff midfoot provide stability for edging, and the toe lacing lets you cinch down for precision. When the trail turns muddy or wet, the GORE-TEX® membrane shrugs off moisture, and the aggressive outsole lugs bite into soft ground. After a long day, your feet stay comfortable thanks to the breathable lining and supportive fit.
