Salomon S/Lab Genesis 2 trailrunningschoenen - zwart/zwart

The S/Lab Genesis 2 is the evolution of Salomon's flagship ultra-distance trail racer, refined for athletes who demand precision on the most technical terrain. Unlike conventional trail shoes that trade ground feel for cushioning, this model pairs a high-stack Energy Surge™ midsole with a Matryx® aramid-reinforced upper, delivering both long-haul comfort and rock-solid stability. The result is a shoe that feels at home on alpine ridges, rocky singletrack, and mixed mountain trails, whether you're racing a 100-miler or logging a demanding training block.

Highlights

• Energy Surge™ midsole: high-rebound foam with 34 mm heel / 26 mm forefoot stack for plush yet responsive cushioning.
• Matryx® upper: woven aramid fibers offer exceptional durability and foot lockdown without excess weight.
• Contagrip® MA outsole: 4.5 mm multi-directional lugs bite into loose, rocky, and mixed terrain.
• Quicklace™ system: one-pull lacing for a secure, personalized fit in seconds.
• Profeel Film and protective toecap: shield against sharp rocks and trail debris.
• 8 mm heel-to-toe drop: encourages a natural, efficient stride over long distances.

In daily use

Slip into the S/Lab Genesis 2 and you'll notice the immediate foothold of the Matryx® upper—thin yet remarkably tough, it wraps the midfoot without pressure points. The Energy Surge™ foam absorbs impact on hard descents while returning enough energy to keep your cadence high on climbs. The Contagrip® MA outsole grips confidently on wet rock and dry dust alike, and the 4.5 mm lugs shed mud quickly. A molded OrthoLite® sockliner adds step-in comfort, while the Profeel Film underfoot protects against bruising on jagged trails. At approximately 269 g per shoe (men's US 9), it's light enough for race day but robust enough for daily training.
