Why choose it

The S/Lab Genesis 2 uses Salomon's Energy Surge foam for plush yet responsive cushioning, while the Contagrip® MA outsole with 4.5 mm lugs grips confidently on loose rock and mud. The Matryx® upper is both durable and breathable, and the Quicklace™ system ensures a secure, one-pull fit. Profeel Film adds underfoot protection without sacrificing flexibility.

Ideal use cases

• Long-distance trail running on technical terrain
• Ultra-marathon training and racing
• Fastpacking and mountain adventures
• Everyday trail runs when you want maximum comfort and protection

Good to know

Salomon recommends sizing up half a size for trail running shoes to accommodate foot swelling on long runs. The anti-debris mesh keeps out grit, and the welded upper reduces seams for a smoother interior. This shoe is built for neutral runners who want a stable, cushioned ride without motion control features.
