SATEL SLIM-S-DUAL plafondmelder met dual-technologie (PIR & microgolf)

For spaces where a standard wall-mounted sensor would be visually intrusive or physically awkward, the SATEL SLIM-S-DUAL offers a discreet ceiling installation with the reassurance of dual-technology detection. By combining passive infrared and microwave sensing in one compact ABS housing, it filters out false alarms that often plague single-technology detectors—while still catching genuine movement across a 15-metre, 90° field.

Highlights

• Dual PIR + microwave detection reduces false triggers from draughts, sunlight, or small animals
• Ceiling-mount design blends into suspended ceilings and modern interiors
• Active microwave anti-masking detects attempts to cover or obstruct the sensor
• Adjustable sensitivity for both PIR and microwave channels to suit the environment
• Grade 2 security certification (EN 50131) for professional alarm systems

In daily use

Installed at the recommended height of 2.4 metres, the SLIM-S-DUAL watches over rooms, corridors, and open-plan areas with a 90° detection angle. The PIR element responds to changes in infrared energy from a moving body, while the 24.125 GHz microwave module measures reflected signals—only when both technologies agree does the detector trigger the alarm relay. This dual confirmation is particularly valuable in challenging environments such as warehouses with roller shutters, offices with fan heaters, or homes with pets.

The anti-masking function continuously monitors the microwave field. If an intruder tries to block the sensor with tape, spray, or an object, the detector immediately signals a tamper condition. Installation is straightforward: the detector mounts directly to the ceiling, and the terminal block accepts EOL resistor configurations (2EOL/NC or 3EOL/NC) for integration with professional alarm control panels.
