The Gedore 6265890 screwdriver bit is a hand-operated TORX® bit made from Gedore vanadium special steel with a gun-metal finish. It features a square drive according to DIN 3120 (C 6.3) and ISO 1174 with a ball retaining groove and a pressed-in pin, and is chrome-plated for corrosion resistance. The bit is compact and lightweight, weighing 25 g with a package depth of 45 mm and height of 23 mm, suitable for professional and DIY use where precision and secure engagement are required.

Advantages

The bit provides secure coupling via its square drive and ball retaining groove, ensuring reliable retention in bit holders and screwdrivers. Made of vanadium special steel with a pressed-in pin, it offers high wear resistance and dimensional stability. Chrome plating adds corrosion protection while the gun-metal finish on the working end reduces glare and aids visual alignment with TORX® fasteners.

How to use

Insert the bit into a compatible 1/4" (C 6.3) bit holder or screwdriver until the ball retaining mechanism engages. Match the TORX® profile to the screw head, apply steady axial pressure and turn the driver to fasten or loosen the screw. Maintain alignment to avoid cam-out and ensure even torque transfer. After use, wipe the bit clean and store it in a protective holder to prevent damage.

Recommendations

Use the Gedore 6265890 bit with drivers and holders that accept a C 6.3 / 1/4" square drive. Do not apply excessive force or impact loading beyond hand tool use; for high-torque applications use appropriate sockets or power-tool rated bits. Keep the bit dry and lightly oiled if stored long-term to preserve the chrome finish.
