Netwerkkabel S/CONN 08-43035 2 m Cat8.1 U/FTP zwart

The S/CONN 08-43035 2m Cat8.1 U/FTP networking cable from ShiverPeaks is designed for high-speed wired connections. Compliant with the Cat8.1 performance class, this 2-metre cable supports fast data transfer rates and reduced crosstalk thanks to its U/FTP (overall shield with individually foil‑shielded pairs) construction. Fitted with standard RJ-45 connectors on both ends and finished in black, the cable is suitable for connecting routers, switches, servers and networked devices where a reliable, shielded connection is required.

Advantages

The U/FTP shielding reduces electromagnetic interference and pair-to-pair crosstalk, improving signal integrity in environments with many cables or nearby electrical equipment. Cat8.1 specification enables higher frequency performance compared with earlier categories, supporting demanding network applications. The 2 metre length offers a balance between reach and tidy cable management for racks and desktop setups, while RJ-45 connectors ensure broad compatibility with existing network hardware.

Suitable for

• Connecting switches, routers and patch panels in wired LANs
• Server room and data cabinet horizontal links where shielding is preferred
• High-bandwidth applications such as video streaming, VoIP and large file transfers
• Home offices and workstations requiring a reliable, low-interference connection

Key specifications

• Category: Cat8.1 performance class
• Shielding: U/FTP (overall braid/foil with individually foil‑shielded pairs)
• Connector type: RJ-45 on both ends
• Length: 2 metres
• Colour: Black
• Cable use: Designed for high-frequency, high-speed Ethernet applications

How to use

Insert the RJ-45 connector into the appropriate network port on your device until it clicks. Ensure both ends are fully seated in the switch, router or network interface card. Route the cable to avoid sharp bends and areas with strong electromagnetic sources to maintain shielding effectiveness. For rack installations, secure the cable with cable ties or management panels to prevent strain on connectors.

Recommendations

For optimal performance, use this Cat8.1 U/FTP cable in shielded environments and pair it with shielded network equipment where possible. Avoid tightly coiling the cable or bending it sharply at the connector boots. Regularly inspect connectors for debris and ensure proper seating to maintain consistent high-speed connections.
