Smart home lichtschakelaar Sonoff MINI R2

SONOFF MINIR2 is a compact Wi‑Fi DIY smart switch designed to control lighting and other AC appliances. It supports AC input (100–240 V, 50/60 Hz) and fits into small switch boxes thanks to its compact dimensions (42.6 × 20 × 42.6 mm). The module is certified for enhanced safety, including a 2 kV surge test and ANATEL certification, and its internal antenna improves reliability and protection during use.

Advantages

MINIR2 offers professional safety certification and improved surge protection (2 kV). The internalized antenna increases operational safety. Its small form factor allows installation in various switch boxes, including EU standard boxes. The device supports multiple external switch types (dry contacts, SPDT, NC/NO push buttons) and provides flexible input modes (pulse, edge, following) for different control scenarios. It works with the eWeLink app, Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant, and supports REST API for integration with home automation systems.

Suitable for

• Remote control of ceiling and wall lights
• Integration with existing wall switches (two‑way or push button)
• Smart home automation scenes and schedules
• Installations inside standard EU and other small switch boxes

How to use

Install the MINIR2 into a non‑metallic switch box with its front side accessible, and avoid placing it inside a metal junction box. Connect live and neutral wires according to the installation guide and attach any external switch or dry contact to the S1/S2 inputs, noting the color‑coded markings that indicate they are not for high current. Configure the input mode (pulse, edge or following) to match the type of external switch you use. Pair the device with the eWeLink app for remote control, voice assistant integration, scheduling and scene creation. Use the REST API if you need to integrate the module into a custom automation system.

Recommendations

For safety and optimal performance, install MINIR2 outside of metal boxes, follow the color codes for S1/S2 to avoid connecting high current, and select the appropriate input mode (pulse, edge, following) for the connected switch type.
