Netwerkkabel Synergy 21 S216474 rood 50m Cat6a S/FTP

The Synergy 21 S216474 Red 50m Cat6a S/FTP networking cable is a 50-metre Ethernet cable built to the Cat6a standard with S/FTP (S-STP) shielding. It is fitted with RJ-45 connectors on both ends and supplied in a distinct red jacket to ease identification in structured cabling runs. The cable is specified for high-speed data transmission and reduced electromagnetic interference, suitable for wired connections in home, office, and small data center environments.

Advantages

This Cat6a S/FTP cable provides support for higher bandwidths and improved alien crosstalk protection compared with lower-category cables, helping maintain stable Gigabit and 10 Gigabit Ethernet links over shorter and standard distances. The braided and foil shielding combination reduces external interference and improves signal integrity in electrically noisy environments. The red outer sheath helps with quick visual identification and cable management in multi-cable installations.

Suitable for

• Wired Ethernet connections between routers, switches and networked devices in homes and offices
• 10 Gigabit Ethernet links where Cat6a performance and S/FTP shielding are required
• Patch runs and visible cable routes where color coding simplifies organization

When it may not be suitable

This cable is intended for internal structured cabling and patching. It is not designed or rated for permanent outdoor exposure, burial, or direct sunlight without additional protective conduit or weatherproofing. If your installation requires plenum-rated or UV-resistant cable, choose an alternative that explicitly lists those characteristics.

Key specifications

• Length: 50 metres
• Category: Cat6a
• Shielding: S/FTP (overall braid plus foil around each pair)
• Connectors: RJ-45 terminated on both ends
• Colour: Red outer jacket

How to use

Measure the run and route the 50 m cable through cable trays or along walls, securing it with appropriate clips or ties to avoid sharp bends and kinks. Connect RJ-45 plugs to the corresponding ports on switches, routers, or network devices ensuring firm seating. For permanent or concealed installations, consider terminating in keystone jacks or patch panels and test each link with a network cable tester to verify continuity and performance up to Cat6a standards.

What to consider before purchase

• Required cable length and allowance for routing paths and slack
• Whether S/FTP shielding is necessary for your environment to reduce interference
• Installation environment: indoor use vs. need for plenum or outdoor-rated cables
• Color coding needs for rack or room-level cable management

Recommendations

For best performance, avoid tight bends (minimum bend radius recommended by standards), keep the cable away from high-voltage power lines, and use compatible Cat6a-rated connectors and patch panels. After installation, verify link speed and signal quality with a certified tester to confirm 10G or Gigabit operation as required.
