Toegangscontroller Hikvision DS-K2804 — zwart, 237×285×69 mm

Hikvision DS-K2804 is an access controller designed for centralized management of entry points within Hikvision intercom and access control environments. Housed in a black enclosure measuring 237 × 285 × 69 mm, the unit integrates into the DS-K2800 series architecture to provide stable connection and logical distribution of uplink and downlink communication. It supports TCP/IP for network uplink and Wiegand for downstream device communication, processes signals with special encryption, can operate offline, and includes anti-tampering protection.

Advantages

The DS-K2804 offers a compact form factor and standardized network interfaces that simplify installation and integration with Hikvision-compatible devices. Its combination of TCP/IP uplink and Wiegand downlink supports flexible topology designs while encrypted signal processing improves data security. Offline operation capability ensures continued access control in case of temporary network loss, and the built-in anti-tampering feature enhances physical security of the controller.

Suitable for (tasks / use cases)

• Residential access control for small apartment buildings and gated communities
• Small commercial premises requiring centralized door management
• Integration with Hikvision intercoms and peripheral devices
• Environments that require offline access operation with secure signaling

How to use

Install the DS-K2804 inside a secure enclosure at a central point serving the controlled doors. Connect the controller to the local network via TCP/IP for communication with the management platform and link downstream devices such as card readers and door locks using Wiegand and the appropriate power lines. Configure encryption and offline parameters through the Hikvision configuration software according to site requirements. Verify anti-tamper switches and secure mounting to prevent unauthorized access to the unit.

Recommendations

Place the controller in a dry, ventilated equipment cabinet and ensure stable network connectivity for optimal performance. Regularly update firmware via official Hikvision tools and follow recommended wiring practices for Wiegand interfaces to maintain reliable operation and security.
