Vlakboor Bosch SELFCUT 17 x 152 mm (2608900316) voor houtboringen

Bosch SELFCUT flat drill bit 17 x 152 mm (MPN 2608900316, EAN 4059952533902) is intended for drilling clean, deep holes in wood. With a 17 mm cutting diameter and 152 mm overall length, it reaches for through-holes and deep boring applications. The SELFCUT geometry supports efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting, making it suitable for use with handheld drills and drill presses when precise wood boring is required.

Advantages

The SELFCUT design ensures improved chip removal and reduces clogging during deep drilling. Hardened cutting edges deliver consistent, clean hole walls. The hex shank provides secure grip in chucks and quick changes in hex-compatible holders. The tool is made to Bosch quality standards and is compatible with typical wood-drilling setups.

Suitable for

• Drilling through-holes in timber and softwood
• Deep boring tasks in furniture and carpentry work
• Use with handheld drills and drill presses requiring controlled wood boring

How to use

Secure the 17 mm Bosch SELFCUT bit in a compatible drill chuck or hex holder. Mark the drilling position on the wood, start drilling at low speed to align the tip, then increase speed while applying steady pressure. Withdraw periodically when drilling deep holes to allow chips to clear and to avoid overheating. For repeatable accuracy, use a drill press or guide where possible.

Recommendations

Use appropriate personal protective equipment (eye protection and hearing protection). Match drill speed to the wood type—lower speeds for hardwoods—and avoid excessive side loads. Ensure the hex shank is fully seated in the chuck or holder before operation.
