Warm Audio WA-DI-P2 - passieve DI-box

Connecting instruments directly to a mixer or interface often results in hum, noise, and a dull, lifeless tone. The Warm Audio WA-DI-P2 solves these problems by providing a pristine, transparent signal path that preserves every nuance of your performance. This passive direct injection box uses a custom-wound CineMag USA transformer to deliver exceptional clarity and isolation, making it an essential tool for studio, live, and broadcast applications.

Who is it for

The WA-DI-P2 is ideal for musicians, audio engineers, and content creators who demand the highest signal integrity. Whether you're recording bass, guitar, keyboards, or any line-level source, this DI box ensures your sound reaches the console with full fidelity and without unwanted noise. Its rugged all-metal chassis and premium Neutrik connectors make it reliable for both studio and touring use.

Main features

• Passive design requires no power, eliminating ground loops and ensuring pure signal transfer.
• Custom-wound CineMag USA transformer provides ultra-clean, transparent sound with extremely low distortion.
• Versatile connectivity: XLR/TRS combo input, 1/4" thru output, and balanced XLR output for flexible routing.
• Switchable -15 dB and -30 dB pads allow handling of high-level signals up to +20 dBu without clipping.
• Ground lift switch effectively removes hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
• High input impedance of 1 MΩ for instruments preserves tone and dynamics, while 10 kΩ for line sources ensures compatibility.
• Durable all-metal chassis withstands the rigors of live performance and frequent transport.

Tips

For best results, place the WA-DI-P2 close to the source to minimize cable capacitance and preserve high frequencies. Use the ground lift switch to eliminate hum when connecting to equipment with different ground potentials. When connecting high-output instruments or line-level sources, engage the appropriate pad to prevent clipping and maintain headroom.
