Wentronic 76737 RJ45 T-adapter splitter, 1x RJ45 stekker naar 2x RJ45 bus, 8-pin, zwart

Network technicians and home users often face the challenge of running two devices over a single existing Ethernet cable. The Wentronic 76737 RJ45 T-Adapter Splitter provides a passive, cost-effective solution for such scenarios. This adapter features one RJ45 male connector that plugs into a wall outlet or patch panel, and two RJ45 female ports to connect two separate cables. It is designed for use in pairs: one adapter at each end of the cable run, allowing a single 8-wire cable to be split into two 4-wire connections. This makes it ideal for connecting two computers or other network devices in locations where pulling a second cable is impractical.

Key specifications

• Connector A: 1 x RJ45 male (input)
• Connector B: 2 x RJ45 female (output)
• Number of pins: 8-pin
• Color: Black
• Housing material: PVC / Plastic
• Function: Passive signal splitting
• Wiring configuration: 1-to-2 split (8-wire input to two 4-wire outputs)
• Compatibility: Ethernet cables Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6
• Shielding: Unshielded (UTP)
• Data transfer rate: Supports up to 10/100 Mbps per split line (not suitable for simultaneous Gigabit Ethernet)
• Installation: Plug-and-play

Why choose it

This adapter is a simple, reliable way to maximize the use of existing cabling infrastructure. It requires no power source or configuration, making it a true plug-and-play solution. The compact black housing blends seamlessly into any environment, and the durable PVC construction ensures long-lasting performance. By using two adapters in tandem, you can effectively double the connectivity of a single cable run without the expense and disruption of installing new wiring.

Ideal use cases

• Connecting two computers in a room with only one Ethernet wall port
• Extending network access to a second device in a small office or home
• Temporary setups where running additional cables is not feasible
• Legacy installations that rely on 10/100 Mbps speeds

Good to know

Please note that this is a passive splitter, not a network switch. It does not allow two devices to communicate simultaneously at full speed; each device is limited to 100 Mbps when the cable is split into two 4-wire pairs. For Gigabit Ethernet or simultaneous high-speed connections, a network switch is required. Always use this adapter in pairs (one at each end of the cable) for proper functionality.
