19-inch 3U rackbehuizing SCHROFF 20860-211 — frontmontage 3U-chassis voor 19-inch standaardracks

SCHROFF 19-inch 3U Rack Enclosure model 20860-211 is a front-mount chassis engineered for integration into standard 19" rack systems. The enclosure occupies 3U of rack height and provides a compact, robust housing for electronic modules, control units and measurement instruments that require front access. Constructed to meet industrial installation needs, this rack chassis supports orderly equipment arrangement and straightforward mounting in telecom, laboratory and industrial cabinets.

Advantages

The front-mount design allows convenient access to fitted modules and simplifies maintenance without the need to remove the entire unit from the rack. The 19-inch form factor ensures compatibility with standard racks and accessories. Mechanical construction offers secure attachment and stable positioning of installed components, supporting reliable operation in fixed installations. The compact 3U height balances space efficiency and sufficient internal depth for a range of electronic assemblies.

Suitable for

• Telecommunications equipment and network appliances requiring front-panel access
• Industrial control modules and embedded systems in production environments
• Laboratory measurement instruments and data-acquisition units
• Prototyping and test rigs where standardized rack mounting is required

Key specifications

• Form factor: 19-inch compliant chassis
• Rack unit height: 3U
• Mounting: front-mount for standard 19" rack rails
• Chassis type: compact rack enclosure for electronic modules
• Typical use environment: industrial, telecom, laboratory cabinets

How to use

Install the enclosure into a standard 19" rack by aligning the front-mount flanges with the rack rails and securing with appropriate fasteners. Fit electronic modules, power supplies and cabling inside the chassis according to their mounting points and clearances. Ensure proper grounding and cable routing to maintain signal integrity and safety. For maintenance, front access enables removal or replacement of modules without full chassis extraction.

Recommendations

Confirm rack depth and available clearance before installation to ensure internal components fit within the chassis. Use compatible mounting hardware rated for the rack and equipment weight. Follow local grounding and EMC practices when installing sensitive electronics in the enclosure.
